Aftercare
First 24 - 40 Hours
Leave your bandage on overnight and for 24 hours to 40 hours.
When you remove the bandage, wash your tattoo in the shower or under warm water. For best results, follow these tips:
Wash with antibacterial soap (like Dial Liquid Hand Soap) using your fingers to remove slimy residue until your tattooed skin feels similarly to the rest of your body.
Firmly press with a strong paper towel until completely dry. Do not rub or scrub. Do not use cloth.
Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion (like Lubriderm Daily Moisture) if you notice your skin getting flaky and dry after washing it. Be careful not to over-moisturize.
Day 2 to Day 7
Wash your tattoo using this process 1-2 times a day or after skin gets sweaty or dirty for up to one week.
Week 2 to Week 4
Apply lotion whenever your tattoo starts to look or feel dry. Avoid the following:
Direct sun exposure
Picking any scabs that form
Soaking in water of any kind
Shaving or exfoliating
Wearing tight-fitting clothing
